Jaguar Land Rover in alleged £1bn loan discussion with the UK Government

Media reports are circulating around alleged talks between Jaguar land Rover Limited (JLR) and the UK government for a loan in excess of £1 billion. Neither JLR or the government have confirmed that talks regarding a loan are talking place. Sky claim that the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) are in discussions for a bespoke loan package with the motor manufacturer who are believed to employee approximately 38,000 people.

Jaguar Land Rover agree multimillion euro contract with Donegal company

Details have started to emerge of a major boost to Irish Pressings based in Derrybeg County Donegal. The company will begin shipping press tools and parts to Jaguar Land Rover in both the UK and Europe from 2021 as part of a multimillion euro contract.

UK subsidiaries of Arlington International, parts supplier to Jaguar Land Rover, goes into administration

Arlington's UK operation has gone into administration putting around 600 jobs at risk in the country. Duff & Phelps has been appointed to over see the process. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders recently published data to show that new cars sales during April 2020 crashed to 1946 post war levels.
